The Earl of Cadogan was the local landowner and Chelsea first ran out in his racing colours, a lighter blue than the now famous Chelsea blue, closer to the Cambridge blue worn in the boat race. This Shirt comes complete with the embroidered Chelsea Borough crest from the period.
